Weather Maps 3.0
Interactive weather layers and map tools for your application
Weather Maps 3.0 provides historical, current and forecast weather layers, display tools and ready-made map controls through one integration. Instead of developing weather visualisation and common map interactions from scratch, you can use these components to let users explore conditions by location and time, while adapting supported layer colours and the interface to your brand and users’ needs.
Weather Maps 3.0 includes:
Weather layers: Weather information for different tasks, including atmospheric conditions, precipitation, soil and marine parameters.
Display tools: Tools that turn supported weather data into colour-based views, animated wind particles and pressure contours.
Map controls: Ready-made components for selecting layers, exploring time, searching for locations and reading weather values.
Your application requests weather data from OpenWeather. The display tools draw supported layers in the browser, while the map controls let users explore the information. Your team decides which components to include and how they fit into the application.
How to start

Follow the integration guide to add the map components to your website or application, or adapt one of the example applications provided in the documentation. Choose the weather layer, location and zoom level users will see first. Then add controls for switching layers, exploring time and searching for places, and adjust the layout to fit your application.
